What is to come...

So we have been doing our research. In my previous post, I mentioned wanting something to communicate with each other on the trip. This is where the majority of my research has been, and I found out some disappointing information. I found a couple of states that did not allow headphones, others that would allow them if they were for communication. Based on this site, state motorcycle laws 2018, Colorado is the only one that still has the law that we will be traveling through. So to try and find out what our options are I turned to Sena's website, and they have a half helmet with them built-in. It appears that the Cavalry is being discontinued and the Cavalry Lite is replacing it. I watched a couple of reviews from some reputable sites, Revzilla, and such and the Cavalry worked at speeds to around 50 mph. Anything faster you lost some of the performance in the built-in mic and wind noise took over.

Zak has been trying on some of my old gear and looking into what his look will be. My old gear will be sufficient for his class coming up in Feb, so he has no rush to buy something now. He did find a pair of gloves and glove liners, so hoping they will be warm come February.

This week I will be starting to book some hotels. Really want to get the ones we want in the price range we prefer before they sell out. HOG warned that ones closer to the National Parks would sell out quicker and I'm not wanting to test my odds!

Going to need a bigger HD Poker Chip display for sure, this one is full!

With this upcoming trip, I am double my states I have ridden in!

For those of you in Central Arkansas, you have been feeling the weather, cold and wet. This past weekend we took some preventative measures to keep Zak's bike dry.

Also, let the bikes out to enjoy some time in the sun! Now they just need a bath, but going to wait a bit on that, still a little cold for that!

Thanks for keeping up with us, and please leave any comments or concerns below. This will be the longest trip I have been on and I'm betting the widest range of weather/temperatures. From the summer heat in July going through Texas and New Mexico, to the altitude of the Rockies as we head north.

And donations can be made here GoFundMe to raise some money for this endeavor.
