Work time

To get ready for the rising season, better late than never. I got the C into the Bentonville BMW for the 24k service (belts, fluids, & other things). Something that was noticed was tires are a little warn.

Ok maybe a lot warn, so they didn't have  the brand I wanted so bought some from Amazon. Needless to say I caught some crap from all my long time riding buddies due to the either old or retreaded tires out there. So a little worried on what I just bought I looked up the manufacturer and found their production date. The 51st week of 2013 & 31st week of 2014, not sure what that is doesn't seem to be old to me, anyone else have an opinion?

So with some tools and a manual I start this endeavor.

18 & 16 hex

17mm

4.5 allen

14mm & 3/4 ext for the perfect Axel push

So for the front tire you have to remove the brake calipers.
Lucky for me I have a Moto Light in the way.

So with the 17mm removing the retaining screw in the axel and then loosening the set screws. Using the pushing extension and 14mm push the axel out. Out comes the tire.

For the rear tire you just simply remove the 4 studs.

Off pops the rear, hopefully you have a helping hand to keep the now rear heavy bike from falling off backwards.

Now off to get them remounted.
