Border to Border Posse Ride '21 Day 10 -11

Today we head further north and on the agenda for stops Glacier National Park. This one I did manage to get our ticket on the 48 hr sale. With the spotty cell coverage navigating had been interesting. Most days it would pick up enough to get us by. I brought an atlas, mainly because it was a Harley atlas with all the Harley stores. But it came in handy! Zak learned some fun things too. Had never had a purpose or need for a map, he had never looked at one truly needing to get somewhere. Our issue was the road Google was turning us down, Scenic Byway, was a 24-mile dirt road. Having gotten off-road at the White Sands and being vibrated to death idling in first gear, we were not willing to test this road. Not wanting to backtrack we flipped around and continued on hoping the signal would pick up and correct our path. After 20-30 minutes of driving, we figured we might want to check and make sure we were going in the right direction. Telling Zak what towns we had just gone through and...

Leaving Loveland, CO we headed north and northwest into Wyoming to Cody. Today was mostly driving we got to see some transitions in terrain. For lunch, we found a Taco John's. Assuming this is Bell's little brother (Taco Bell)? The food was pretty good with the exception of the side. To have 'Mexican' food, using that loosely, why on Earth would you have a side of hashbrowns? These were little ones similar to Burger King's breakfast ones. Heading northwest from Cody we start heading towards Bozeman, MT, but a couple of detours. Beartooth Pass is the HOG point of interest for the WY state coin. Had Zak and I been riding this would have been our fourth coin for the trip. However just didn't feel right, so we will have to make this trip again on the bikes to get these challenges and memorabilia. This pass did not disappoint! On our way back down from Beartooth Pass, Zak spotted a bag. We pulled a quick turn around to see. Sure enough, there was a bag that mounts t...

Border to Border Posse Ride '21 Day 6 - 7

Today's ride was going through Rocky Mountain National Park, and unfortunately, my inability to properly read didn't allow us to get the $2 entry reservation ticket. Some of the National Parks are doing this the help with traffic in the park. It is a minimal cost but only allows for about 600-900 people a day in the park. The way they were doing this is about two months out they release about 300 tickets. They then release another set and 48 hours out the last 300 are released. I put multiple reminders and alerts on my phone to watch for these, but timezones are extremely important! All of my reminders I put in CDT and not MDT. So I was an hour early and they still showed Sold Out. On the plus side, I learned from this mistake and was able to get our tickets for Yellowstone that was coming up in a couple of days. So if you are planning on going to any National Parks, I would recommend reading up on their websites to see if you need such a pass. I have a Lifetime National Park ...
