Albuquerque for work

This is going to be a rant about a hotel, but am sitting here at 1:40 AM still awake from about an hour ago someone trying to get into my room. At 12:52 AM I was abruptly awoken to the sound of the hotel room door being slammed against the security lock. As they closed and tried again, this time poking their fingers through trying to move the security lock to gain entry. I quickly turned on the light and said: "Is there something I can help you with?" The response was "This is my room." I called down to the Front Desk and stated someone is trying to get into my room, they said they were just checked in to it. They apologized and said it was supposed to be the room next door. I hung up with them, turned my lights off and laid back down. Maybe 1 minute later my phone rings and the person on the other end says "Who is this?" I try to be an understanding guy and I know mistakes can happen. But I find it hard to believe that the computer system is glitching or there is user error when assigning rooms that can allow for this to happen. In my opinion, it comes down to neglect and/or ignorance. The way the Front Desk handled this return call with no, I apologize for disturbing you but, what is your name, or how about, can I get your name because we are having an issue in the system? Never would you call a room at 1AM and say who is this? This is not professional or courteous, I'm not some random person that wandered into the room, I was given a key whether it be through error, computer glitch, or ignorance.

So coming up one hour later, I am still wide awake waiting for the adrenaline to leave, the frustration to subside, and my mind to calm to return to the peaceful state I was at. Also during this time of sleeplessness I have counted the time that the AC cycles on and off, on for 2 minutes and 30 seconds, one minute of which the compressor is on, with the remainder being simply the fan. For it to return to silence for 30 seconds, for it to all start over.

With this incident and the showers inability to spray water out the proper wholes, I will be filling out some reviews!
